My choice of verse for our word this fortnight - YIELD, was possibly inspired by the sermon our Pastor gave last Sunday. Our worship service concentrated on the Persecuted Church and in the teaching it was mentioned how those Christians who face horrific persecution often display a deep down joy because of their faith. It is not the joy that the world knows. This sermon and a Bible Study on Stewardship that my husband and I recently finished has made be more eager to help financially fellow believers who are being persecuted. I feel God's wants me to use my money for helping my brothers and sisters in Christ.
I struggled with creating my page this time... possibly because I am going through a sad time of my life. I have peace but there is still great sorrow. My elderly mother ( 87 ) is dying of inoperable liver cancer. She lives about an hours drive away so at this stage my husband and I drive to visit her every second day. She is still alert at times - sits in a chair during the day. Because of her Dementia she does not understand she is dying even though the doctor did explain to her what is happening. I think it is best emotionally that she does not realise. She is being cared for in the Aged Care Facility she has been living in since October 2010. The staff there are doing a wonderful job of caring for her.
So sorry to hear about your mom. I will say a prayer for her today. I love checking out your posts. Your insights are so helpful and so inspiring.
ReplyDeleteYour page is very pretty, Anne-Marie! I understand how it could have been a struggle to complete it with all you've been going through! I'm continuing to pray for you, my friend!...Nancy :o)
