Faith Challenge at Scrapbook Bytes - FRIEND

For this month (February )'s challenge that I host at Scrapbook Bytes I felt a good word for this being the month of Valentine's Day, would be FRIEND.
For my page I chose to use a scripture which depicts part of my relationship with my husband as the book of the Bible - Song of Solomon is a book for lovers and it was a verse from this book of the Bible that my husband quoted to me during our wedding ceremony.
I also has shared on my page the first verse from a favourite old hymn - What a Friend we have in Jesus - after all Jesus is the best friend we can have. He loves us no matter what!

Here are the thoughts I shared on the forum of Scrapbook Bytes for this challenge:

"Friendship with God is reserved for those who reverence Him." Psalm 25:14 (Living Bible)
What is the sign of a friend? That he tells you secret sorrows? No, that he tells you secret joys... Have we ever let God tell us any of His joys, or are we telling God our secrets so continually that we leave no room for Him to talk to us?

I do like what Oswald Chambers said about telling only sorrows to our friends - we need to share our joys with our friends as well.

If you scroll down you will see a video clip of the hymn sung in a country music style singing but I thought it was a nice version to share.
Then if you scroll on further you will see a digital kit of Wordart which I have created that you are welcome to download - just click on the image of the kit.

Here is my digital page on which I used a kit called Pieces of My Heart by Amy Stoffel:

Here is the Wordart  I would like to share:

  1. What a beautiful way to start my day, Anne-Marie! You've written a wonderful post, and created a lovely page! I thoroughly enjoyed the song, as well. Doesn't he do a terrific job with the gospel music? Thank you so much, my friend! I appreciate you...and my prayers continue!...Nancy :o)

  2. Anne-Marie - wonderful post and I love to listen to Alan Jackson sing gospel - it seems so pure. Your page is beautiful! Thanks for sharing!

  3. Hi Ann-Marie, read at Patter's blog about your mom's passing. I'm so sorry. I know that was a real burden for a long time and I pray that God's peace and comfort will surround you. God bless you, sister.

  4. Read about your mother on Patter's blog and praying that you can feel God's presence as He comforts you ,you must have been a great blessing to your mother with your prayers for her.

Thank you for leaving a comment, it is much appreciated.
